About Me
I am Dr. Timothy J. Cummings, and I am a seasoned writer, academic, and strategic thinker with over 23 years of experience spanning multiple industries and disciplines. With a profound background in project management, data analysis, and leadership, I have navigated complex, cross-functional organizations, often under high-stress conditions.
My work in both the military and civilian sectors has consistently emphasized the importance of resilience, adaptability, and empathetic communication, all while managing portfolios that demanded rigorous analytical and decision-making skills. I hold multiple advanced degrees, including a Doctorate in Public Policy & Administration with a focus on Nonprofit Leadership, an MFA in Creative Writing, an MBA in e-Commerce, and a Master’s in Computer Science.
My diverse background underscores my ability and desire to approach problems from various angles, blending technical acumen with creative insights. As an author, I am deeply committed to exploring the intricacies of belief systems and the power of peaceful dialogue in resolving entrenched societal issues.
My Current Project: A Book
My latest work, under development, provides a tangible framework for de-entrenchment and cooperation, encouraging readers to engage in self-reflection, critical thinking, and empathetic communication. Through my writing, which spans fantasy, sci-fi, technical papers, and academic research, I aim to bridge societal divides by fostering understanding and collaboration across differing ideologies.
My journey is marked by a passion for lifelong learning, mentoring, and helping future generations live without fear and oppression. Whether working with high-level military and government officials, corporate executives, or grassroots community leaders, I bring a unique blend of strategic vision, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of human behavior. I have determined that it is time for me to lay out my thoughts in a venue that is accessible to the largest possible audience.
Notes
When not writing, copyediting, or consulting, I enjoy immersing myself in diverse cultural experiences and engaging with new perspectives, always seeking to expand his understanding of the world and the people in it. At age 41, I retired from the US Air Force. At age 46, I found myself in the best shape of my life. At 48, I learned to sing melodic, progressive rock. At age 53, I finally built my writer’s platform. My approach to both life and work is characterized by a relentless curiosity and a belief in the transformative power of knowledge and empathy.
